The famous Wolf River is located in the eastern part of Langlade County. This stretch of water is considered one of the best whitewater rivers in the Midwest! The Wolf goes from quiet, calm water in the northern section to complex rapids in the southern sections. North of Pearson is "calm", while south of Highway T is a steep gradient with rapids up to 3/4 mile in length. Rafting conditions depend on the water level and time of year.
